Hey I've just come up with a few items every beauty bag should have or you should at least try.


Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h

This foundation is just amazing. I've already wrote a review on it so I won't repeat myself here. Seriously though please try it if you are in the market for a new foundation. Click here to read my review of it.




MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

This is a beautiful powder which gives flawless results. Normally I am not that big a fan of MAC make up for everyday wear because I find it is too heavy and it is too obvious that you are wearing make up but I do love the finish of this. It gives great coverage without looking caked on.

Avon Glimmersticks Brow Definer

Where has this product been all my life??? I can't believe I only discovered it recently. I get my eyebrows tinted a lot as they have always been a light brown with my hair naturally being very dark brown (it looks ridiculous) but I find that tint just doesn't last long enough. This product is brilliant. I was afraid that if I rubbed it, it would smudge or rub off and I would be left looking like I have a dirty face (a few drinks in me and god only knows what my make up ends up looking like) but so far so good. No need to worry. Everyone needs this, no matter how perfect your eyebrows are, this is a great way to show them off. A MUST MUST MUST have!!!

Skin Finish Compact Powder

Two words to describe this - Cheap and Cheerful! I discovered this powder completely by accident. I always buy my tan in the same place as after shopping around it sells Sally Hansen at the best price I can find €9.95. One day I realised I also needed some powder, saw this, saw the price and decided to try it. Thank god I did. I bought two shades, one for day wear (010 Transparent) and one for when I have tan on with a darker foundation (050 Caramel Beige). Now I can't remember the exact price but I think its around €3.50 or somewhere around that. While speaking of Catrice I must mention another of their products, Colour Show Colour & Stay Lip Gloss.

As you can see from the picture they don't have that wide a range of colours but the colours I have tried are great. I particularly liked the dark red. It kind of dyes your lips in a way so even when it wears off (after a few drinks) your lips still appear red. On a less positive note I tried Catrice's Infinite Matt up to 18 h Make-Up (040 Bronze Beige) to get a darker foundation for wearing with fake tan but I didn't like it at all.

GOSH Cosmetics Multicolour Blush in Pink Pie

Another product I discovered by accident after my blusher broke on a night out (had a few too many as usual) and I borrowed a friend's. I have never gone back since. This has something for everyone in it. With eight different shades its perfect for day make up, going out make up, everything. I mix a few of the shades too sometimes to create a desired colour.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H

Being pale. . .not just a little bit pale. . .proper pale . . .it is an absolute nightmare to find a foundation that matches my skin without a yellowish or pink tinge off it. I have been in the market to find a foundation that MATCHES my super pale skin. So far no luck but I've decided to share with you the best so far.


This foundation from Lancome, whether you are pale or not is by far the best foundation I have ever used. The lightest shade is 005 which is what I wear. It is the closest match I have ever got to my skin. Now I still need to put some on my neck to match it up which is a nuisance but the benefits of this foundation far outweigh that flaw. I did not purchase this foundation to wear for 24 hours but was just searching for something super pale but having tried this I can tell you it does exactly what it says on the tin. This foundation is FLAWLESS!!! The amount of compliments I get when I wear it. One day I put it on at 11am and after finishing a 13 hour shift in work (the joys of being a waitress) was just too exhausted to be bothered taking my make up off and fell asleep. I woke the next day and whilst brushing my teeth noticed how perfect my foundation still was. I mean perfect, I am not exaggerating. I easily could have left the make up on without ever knowing the difference. I have now been using this make up for over three months and my skin is amazing (I find after using MAC foundation my skin is terrible and then end up wearing more make up to cover this and thus get stuck in a vicious circle of needing to always wear it.


I bought another shade to wear when I decided to wear fake tan, 02. It too is great. The coverage with this foundation is great and it is oil and transfer free (another problem I find with MAC foundation is if I touch my face I can see finger marks, not very desirable).




Get buying ladies!!! You won't regret it! I purchase it for €35 a bottle in my local pharmacy but have seen it online for around the €50 mark so shop around to get the best bargain!!!


P.S While we are on the topic of Lancome I have another beauty must have for great skin - Lancome Eau Micellaire Doucher (express cleansing water for face, eyes, lips)

I got it for €34.50 (400ml) which yes I will agree is pricey compared to buying a packet of make up wipes but the difference in my skin since using it is unbelievable. I got a free sample from my local pharmacy and am now hooked.

Pale Celebs - Megan Fox

Lets start by looking at one of my favourite celebrities, the absolutely stunning Megan Fox.

Like just wow. Now Megan varies sometimes going for sunkissed and tanned sometimes with pale, either way she is just stunning. 

Just in case you haven't noticed yet I have a major girl crush on her. 

Megan became the face of Armani and they decided to opt with pale Megan (I totally approve).
